One of the greatest challenges we face in this discipline. Interested to hear your experiences in this area.

You are absolutely right. BPM is not a one-shot deal. The business is always evolving so it is natural to assume that the business processes will also evolve. From a technology perspective there are tools to help you manage your business process library like the WebSphere Services Registry and Repository. But to truely manage change, it requires more than just technology. You have to put in place a Governance framework to help you manage the change. One best practice that we've seen is to make sure that both the business owners and IT owners are involved in the governance.

Does this include business process reviews (business performance and technial performance) by analysing BAM data for example ? I guess these would be regular reviews.
Do people feel that automating the feedback loop (BAM data being fed back into the process model) too much of risk without human intervention ?
Interesting.....
